Benching Thursday, Feb 5

I feel like this was the right thing to do for tonight. I didn’t go nuts with volume or intensity, but took some decnt attempts and made sure I got my form down. This close to a meet I don’t think you’re going to really build any strength you don’t already have, but I think you can always work on technique. We don’t work on technique as much as we should and I’m going to change that after this meet.

crazy bell bench: 135 with 35’s, 135 with 50’s, 135 with 65’s

bench: 275×1, 295×1, 315x5x1, 325×1 I tried to work on speed, setup and form.

reverse band speed bench, light bands: 275x3x1, 325×1

ez bar curl: 125×3, 145×3, 155×2 superset with

four board close grip: 315x2x3, 335×2.5 with slow eccentric

eccentric dip: 45 seconds or so

db hammer curls: 50×10 These were pretty strict too.

random ab band thing: I’m going to try to take a picture with my phone or something and post tonight.

    Hey Stud!

I was just looking around the internet and stumbled upon the ISU Weightlifting Club Website. Looks like it needs to be updated. That might be a way to get some more interest.

    Good luck this weekend.

    Nenad,

I am doing pretty good. Half way through farrowing for this season, I have a bunch of pigs on the ground. Training has been a little lax, usually 2-3 times/week but not training at the intensity that I was in Greene, just hard to get motivated.

I wish everyone from the ISU Weight Club good luck at the Missouri state meet.
